Ministry of Development and Reformation of the Chinese government expresses their support of E-Sport industry.

According to International e-Sports Federation (IeSF), they stated that they received a response from the International Olympic Committee. Review by the International Olympic Committee will commence in December 2016 to decide whether E-Sports will be officially introduced into Olympic Games. Recently, Chinese Ministry of Development and Reformation made an announcement to a large number of government departments. The announcement instructed all levels of government should fully support all ongoing and future E-Sports competitions/tournaments to drive economic growth.


DataEye report 2016 Q1: New Chinese mobile games are now pushing for less generic and more unique features.

According to the 2016Q1 Chinese Mobile Gaming Report produced by DATAEYE, the percentage of highly generic new mobile games has been lowered to 25.8% ,showing a decrease of 8.5% compared to last quarter. Content Providers now focus more on creating games with unique features, and also pushing for high quality games for the market. In the reports it has also indicated that over 60% of all the new games in 2016 Q1 are either in the Casual or RPG genre.


Tencent: Ying Yong Bao has just annouced its new policy to support Single Player Mobile games

During GMIC 2016, a Director from Tencent expressed their new focus on Single player mobile games. In their plan, the new single player mobile games publishing through Tencent will receive financial support up to 1 million RMB, free market consulting services and free promotional support.
